Today design team member Pam Callaghan is going to show you how to create this tag book and pocket to add to your scrapbook layout – such a clever idea! First, here is what Pam had to say about the inspiration for her project … “If you are like me you take a lot of photos when you go on family outings. I always have a lot of photos and text for my pages. I decided to create a tag book with a photo of the different animals we really liked during our trip to the zoo! I also could type in my text right under my photo so I could remember what we thought when we saw each animal.” Here are Pam’s step by step instructions to create one of your own …
First, I created my pocket. I took a page protector and went down the bottom of it where it folds. I measured 4” in length and 3” in height and cropped it down to that size. Next, I took a piece of kraft cardstock (for more strength) and adhered it on top of the lower piece of the protector.
I used my sewing machine and sewed up the two sides so the top was the only part open.
Your pocket will look like this when you are done.
Next, I worked on my tags. I measured out six tags to be 3.75” in length and 4.5” in height.
I printed off my photo and text and adhered each onto a tag.
Now you are ready to put your tag book together. Punch a hole in each tag. Attach the tags using a ribbon. My finished tag book looks like this.
Now you are ready to adhere your pocket to the page and put your tag book inside! I hope you are inspired to create your own tag book!
