Pebbles new Woodland Forest collection is so cute and fun, I just couldn’t wait to dive in and create a Woodland Forest Birthday Card Set. Hi friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a card project I created with my newest FAVORITE collection from Pebbles, Inc.!! This set is absolutely perfect for creating birthday cards for autumn birthdays. The little woodland animals are so cute, and along with the fall color pallet, work perfectly for a masculine card, but are also cutesy enough for a girl to love. Here’s a peek at the entire set:
Here’s a closer look at each of the three cards:
I used several scraps from the 6×6 paper pad for the background of each card. The cute little raccoon and flowers are die-cut elements.
Each card also has a sentiment cut from the paper full of 2″ squares – this is one paper that is definitely worth investing in!!
After raiding my button stash, I was able to find the perfect button for each card:
Tying each button with coordinating twine/jute added a nice touch:
I also added little stickers for an additional sentiment on each card.
Of course, I just had to add machine stitching for that final homemade touch.
I’ll be giving this blank set of cards to a friend as a gift so she can use them to give away to her friends/family. Instead of simply giving her the stack, I created a little wrap to hold them together, and make them a little more fun to give away.
The wrap is easy to make. Just cut a strip of 12″ paper – mine is about 3″ tall. Score lines a bit wider than the card front. Make sure to allow enough space between the score lines so that when the cards are stacked, they will slide in the wrap.
Fold on the score lines:
Add adhesive to the back.
Embellish the front with patterned paper, dies, stickers, or whatever you desire.
Slide the cards inside and your gift is ready!
