Hello Pebbles Friends! It’s Leanne here today sharing with you some Pebbles Inc cards that will make you smile! Grab your favourite collections and gift someone special with these cute smiley greetings!!
Tomorrow is World Smile Day and what better way to celebrate than with a clean and simple idea that really personalises a card.
Before I started assembling these cards, I created a base which had negative space trimmed from it. I used my electronic cutter but a die cutting machine with metal dies will work just as well. Simply select an alphabet die that has a capital letter ‘D’ and or a bracket punctuation mark. The same symbols apply if you are creating a template from scratch with an electronic die cutting system.
Card 1 | Midnight Haunting
step 1. Gather supplies and patterned papers that complement each other. Trim each piece of cardstock and paper piece to 1/4″ smaller than the last. Line the smiley face template card with coordinating cardstock to showcase the negative cutout space.
step 2. Fussy cut a flower cluster to create an added layer on your card.
step 3. Assemble the card pieces, centering each and placing the smaller sized papers towards the top.
step 4. Add a border strip and layer the fussy cut flower cluster directly on top.
step 5. Complete the card by adhering a sticker phrase from the Simple Life collection.
Card 2 | Sunshiny Days
step 1. This card has been created using the same basic method as above, with just a few modifications to allow the negative cutout space to become a feature. After selecting your patterned paper, mount the smile template onto foam tape. Center and adhere to the paper piece. Create a cute bow tie using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.
step 2. Trim a second piece of patterned paper to layer on top of the folded card base. I have used the gorgeous new Rainbowtastic from Happy Hooray.
The foam tape creates a shadow line and highlights the smiley face on the front of the card.
step 3. Complete the card by adding thickers to create the word ‘smile’. I have used white thickers from the Heart of Home collection. The white on white concept keeps the card looking fresh.
I hope you have a smile on your face as you recreate your own set of cards. Happy World Smile Day!!
