Hi friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today, sharing a layout featuring the new “Land That I Love” collection! At first glance, this looks like a layout featuring featuring two 4×6 photos, but it’s SO much more! It’s actually a layout featuring SIX 4×6 photos!
Am I the only person who takes 1,000 fireworks photos, hoping to get one or two that work out? I hope I’m not alone! This night, I ended up with about 10 not-too-terribly-blurry photos of two of my kids with their backyard sparklers. At first I thought I would create a layout featuring two of the photos. Here’s a look at the *original* layout:
And some of the details:
Aren’t the ephemera pieces perfect?
I love adding stickers with foam adhesive – even directly over photos!
And those silver thickers with the blue edges? LOVE them!!
I thought I was finished at this point. But I couldn’t bring myself to toss the rest of the photos. I didn’t really feel like I needed a second page, so here’s how I added the additional photos:
I chose four additional photos. On two of the photos, I scored the top at 1/2″
And two of the photos, I scored 1/2″ from the bottom
Then I glued the two sets, back-to-back:
Next, I used some strong adhesive to attach the two sets right on top of one of the original photos
I added a few colored foam dots across the top of the photo stack
Now it looks like a cute little bound book!
Oh, and don’t forget to add names and dates somewhere (always!) – here’s how I did it on this layout.
Do you like to add photo flip booklets to your scrapbook layouts? Or hidden journaling? We’d love to see your ideas!
