Hello Pebbles Friends! It’s Leanne here today sharing a 4×4 mini album using the new Patio Party collection! With St Patrick’s Day tomorrow, this mini album has been created to remind me how lucky I am to have these kids in my life. It is also an opportunity to play with pretty green and earthy patterns found in this awesome collection!!
The best part about creating this mini album is the contribution of a handmade sequin pocket. It sits directly behind the front cover, which is designed with a huge four leaf clover cut out. St Patrick’s Day creating should always have a little sparkle. *grin*
Sequin Pocket Details
Start with a recycled plastic bag or photo sleeve. Fill this bag with enough sequins to allow movement and then seal with a We R Memory Keepers Fuse tool or machine stitch a small stitch, close to the edge.
Line each page or pocket up with each other and then add holes for jump rings on the left hand side.
Embellish the front cover with die cut ephemera. I am loving the touches gold added via the details!
Once the mini album cover and sequin pocket have been completed, trim several pieces of patterned paper to 4″x4″. I have also added 4×4 cardstock pieces between the patterned papers, with cute sayings or “lucky” symbols cut out, using my electronic die cutting machine. These cardstock pieces allow the eye to rest and let the photos stand out.
The album has been kept simple in regards to embellishments. Overall, my goal was to make this project both playful and fun look at. It has a random selection of photos for that reason, but this would work equally well with a photo series.
Here’s a look at some of the pages inside the album.
The new Patio Party collection is such a delight to play with! I hope I have now inspired you to go and create your own lucky little album. Thanks for visiting!
