Hello friends! It’s Wendy Sue here today and I just have to say…isn’t it crazy that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner? I wanted to get a jump start on my handmade cards and couldn’t wait to dig in to the “Forever My Always” collection! Here’s a look at the first card I put together! Keep reading to see how easy it came together!
I started by cutting a background from patterned paper 4″ x 5 1/4,” along with a 4″ square of patterned paper and two 3″ strips:
Add the two 3″ strips so they will peek out above and below the 4″ square:
And add the square:
Next, find some fun coordinating die-cuts and stickers:
Add them to the card front:
Use foam squares for dimension! I used them behind the top gold heart and the butterfly (after I folded the wings up a bit):
Now tie some baker’s twine around the card, because baker’s twine is awesome!
Finally, place the entire piece on a white card base!
See how easy?!? You can u se the same process to create several more cards:
If you use this process to create your Valentine’s Day cards, please share a link to your projects – we’d love to see!!
